Reason Why: This is a really interesting look at what would have happened had Vala run into Daniel before SG-1 got to the planet Daniel was found post season six. Very good characterization and I like Pirate!Daniel. |

I enjoy this story because it has great charaterization and it takes a scene from the last episode of SG-1 and makes it a bit more even sided. Vala has her voice in this and gets to rant back at Daniel so they come to a mroe complete understanding then what was on the show. I don't think anyone was totally satisfied with that scene and this is one story that shows a possible solution. |

Reason for it being here: I really love this fic. Basically it has Alex and Jacob, who end up back in time after thier back malfunctions (like parents like children...) and have to help their parents find out about a secret repository. It paints an interesting future scene. Sam and Jack are married and trying to have a baby, and Daniel and Vala are still trying to figure out what they are (which I'm not sure they will ever find out;) ). The characterization is good throughout and I'm happy to say there is more fic after this one is done! It creates another reality for us to play in that I really enjoy. |

Reason for it being here: I just read this story a few minutes ago. It's a great team fic and really speaks about thier relationship with each other, and with each of thier pasts. It's written in Cam's POV and I like how he feels disconnected even though it's been a year. He's still learning to be part of the family here, even as he knows certian things automatically like any brother/sister would. Also Vala characterization was good. Sam seemed the only character I didn't get a good feel on, as it seemed to focus primarily on Cam, Val, and Daniel. Teal'c and Sam seemed to fade into the background a bit, but not too much as the Vala-Teal'c interaction is good.
Plus it really made me want to drink some tea. |
