I like this for a couple of reasons. It's one of those feel-good fics. I'm not the biggest fan of some of the ships, but still I enjoy this every time I read it. It also made me smile because of the odd pairings like Lindsey/Tara and Faith/Gunn. It's more of a fic I skip around in though, then one I read all the way through so not everyone will like it.

Again, another favorite of mine (never realised how many had Angel/Cordelia in them). My favorite part about this is the friendship between Cordy and Faith and the starting relationship between Faith and Wesley. Very good characterization. I think this is AU from Season 3 because Connor is still a baby and Faith is getting out on Good behavior. |

This is another one of those fics that I really like due to characterization. It also holds your attention because you have the mystery to solve of which person is which when it comes to Faith and Cordelia (unless you look at the cover first, but maybe not even then). Also has a happy ending for Connor. |

Author's Summery: The gang heads to Texas to heal
Reason for it being here: This is one of my favorites that I always come back to. It takes place after season 4 and rewrites the entire season 5 really. It has Cordy back from Demon/Coma-ville and the gang hanging out at Fred's parent's ranch in Texas. There Lorne, with the help of Connor and Trish Burkle, attempts to heal the broken relationships around him. I particularly like how Faith fits into the group and how the others handle her. And how she handles Wes' past love for Fred. Like with His Girl Friday, I actually enjoyed all the pairings in this fic, even if I don't like them usually. |

Author's Summery: So 'Happily Ever After' didn't last forever, and now Cordelia's ready to move past the mission, and on with her life, without Angel Investigations. Course, intent is always easier than execution, especially when Angel and company, aren't ready to let her go.
Why It's Rec'd: I just enjoy this story. It's Cordelia/Angel as it's main pairing and I usually try to avoid those but Misty is one author who makes me read it. Mostly because she writes a wonderful side of Wes/Faith. Particularly in this fic. I really wish she would write the backstory of those two characters because the little bit of it that you read sounds like a good story. Fred/Gunn and Lindsey/Beth finish off the pairings in this story.
Cordelia has divorced Angel, and goes to tell him she is remarrying. She brings along her fiancee Douglas, whom Wes and Faith mess around with. Angel gets Cordelia involved on a case involving Beth and she goes up against the Wolfram and Hart gang with the Help of Lindsey. Its humorous (Angel gets life insurance!) yet true to the characters for the most part. I love her characterizations of Faith and Wes. ( Big Spoiler )
Its a very well written story, as is most of Misty's works. So if you enjoy this story, visit the author's page and read some of her other works. |
